Zimbabwe urges eligible teachers and pupils to be vaccinated before schools open

Zimbabwe has urged all eligible teachers and pupils to be vaccinated before school open, most likely in three weeks.

Acting Health Minister Amon Murwira said schools had one week to put preventive public health measures in place after the expiry of the two-week lockdown extended yesterday.

He said enforcement officers will be encouraged to carry out regular assessments of compliance at learning institutions at least once a week.
