Zimbabwe surpasses 150 000 coronavirus vaccinations

Zimbabwe has today surpassed 150 000 coronavirus vaccinations with 14 105 getting their first jab today to reach 153 238.

A further 2 679 got their second jab to bring the total of those who have completed the vaccination to 26 179.

There were 18 new cases today but no death while 22 people recovered resulting in the number of active cases dropping to 650 again.

Harare has 419 cases and Bulawayo 126.

Deaths remained at 1 531 while cases rose to 36 984 and recoveries to 34 803.

Zimbabwe intends to vaccinate 10 million people to reach herd immunity.
