Zimbabwe records two more coronavirus cases, one recovery

Zimbabwe yesterday recorded two more coronavirus cases bringing the total to 46, but it had one recovery raising the total to 18.

The country has 24 active cases and has tested 28 019 people.

Zimbabwe entered into its fourth phase of a national lockdown today which President Emmerson Mnangagwa said was indefinite but will be reviewed after every two weeks.

The indefinite extension has been condemned by the opposition because it is open to abuse.

Globally there are now 4.8 million cases, 316 732 deaths and 2.6 million active cases.

The United States leads the number of deaths with 90 978, followed by United Kingdom with 34 636 and Italy with 31 908.
