Zimbabwe records first coronavirus recovery

Zimbabwe today said one of the people that tested positive for coronavirus has recovered after testing negative on two samples collected at least 24 hours apart as required by the World Health Organisation guidelines.

It did not, however, say which patient this was as 18 people have so far tested positive, including one who was tested today.

A total of 61 people, eight from Bulawayo were tested today and one of the 53 from Harare was positive.

Zimbabwe has so far tested 665 people and 18 are positive.

Eight of those positive are from Harare, five from Bulawayo, four from Mashonaland East and one from Matebeleland orth.

Three have died and one has recovered.
