Energy and Power Development Minister Elton Mangoma today said Zimbabwe has licensed five independent power producers whose projects could double current electricity output to 4 450 megawatts. The projects should come on stream in the next three to four years. He said that Zimbabwe had also secured $30 million from the African Development Bank to fund maintenance at the Hwange Power Station which is currently operating at 40 percent capacity.
