Zhuwao says Mnangagwa will not get 15 percent of the vote if elections are free and fair

Zhuwao also complained that the new administration was not looking after Mugabe well.

“Kun’anga nokuvaporofita kwavakainda vakaudzwa kuti havasi kubata baba (Mugabe) zvakanaka. Vari kubatwa huyanga. Midzimu iri pasi haisi kufara,” he said.

He said the people were not happy with Mnangagwa because of the way he assumed power.

“Vakaita humbavha. Vakabura vanhu vezimbabwe. Chikwata ichi chapesana naMwari. Chikwata ichi chapesana nevadzimu,” he said.

“Mhondi nemharadzi dzaparadza musangano weZANU-PF. Asi vazhinji vari kuzviona….zvokuti iye zvino tikainda kusarudzo vaMnangagwa vachinzi vakamirira ZANU-PF kuti vaite president, parasarudzo chaiyo yakasununguka, ha…ah kuwana 15 percent chaiyo handifungi kuti wanoiwana ini.”

Zhuwao was part of the G40 cabal that wanted to get rid of Mnangagwa and replace him with his aunt, former first lady Grace Mugabe.

Mnangagwa said in South Africa he had forgotten the cabal except for three.

“I forgive the cabal, I have said bygones are bygones and they are back in the country except for the three who still are doing something funny but it will also end,” he said.
