The Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front has called for a special politburo meeting today but did not disclose the agenda.
The meeting is being called after news that the party will hold its special congress from 12 to 17 December at which it will seek to amend the constitution to accommodate a woman candidate in the presidium.
The party’s youth wing is pushing for First Lady Grace Mugabe to be elevated to that post.
