World Health organisation working closely with Zimbabwe o coronavirus response

World Health Organisation to representative to Zimbabwe Alex Gasasira says WHO is working very closely with Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe has been a leader in implementing WHO recommendations and guidelines.

He said this in response to claims that Zimbabwe had sidelined WHO in its vaccination programme which started 10 days ago after the country received 200 000 doses of vaccine from China.

Zimbabwe has already vaccinated over 15 000 people.

Gasasira is, in fact, a member of the 12-member panel of experts that was appointed by Zimbabwe in September last year to advise the government on its response to the coronavirus.
