Want to talk to President Robert Gabriel Mugabe, Head of Government and State? Call 2634707091-9. This is his office number. To reach his residence, call office number and ask to be connected to Zim-one Main House. President Robert Mugabe speaks fluent English.

So says a cable dispatched on 11 January 2005 by the United States embassy in Harare which was updating the names, titles and contact numbers for leading government and political figures in Zimbabwe.
