United States clocks 100 000 coronavirus deaths

The United States has clocked more than 100 000 coronavirus deaths, reaching 100 103 at 18:24 GMT this evening, according to worldometers.info.

The country now has 1.7 million cases of which 1.1 million are active.

More than 17 000 cases are said to be critical.

The US accounts for 29 percent of the global coronavirus deaths which stood at 349 920 this evening.

Zimbabwe has 56 cases which include four deaths, 25 recoveries and 27 active cases.

Results for tests carried out today are now yet out.
