Two coronavirus patients in Zimbabwe recover but 15 test positive

Two coronavirus patients in Harare recovered yesterday increasing the number of those that have recovered countrywide so far to 31 but there were 15 new cases, all returnees from South Africa, raising the number of cases to 237.

The number of people tested so far now stands at 50 920.

There are 202 active cases.

Globally there are now 6.7 million cases but more than 3.3 million have recovered and 393 200 have died.

The United States accounts for more than 1.1 million of the active cases and 110 000 deaths.

Brazil has now overtaken Italy in terms of deaths and is now third after the United States with 34 000 deaths.

The United Kingdom is at number two with 39  900 deaths.

Italy is at 33 600.
