Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai met South African President Jacob Zuma at his Nkandla village- Zuma’s Kwa-Zulu Natal home- to discuss developments in Zimbabwe. Zuma is the Southern African Development Community chief mediator on Zimbabwe. His spokesman said the meeting was “nothing out of the ordinary.” Some reports said Tsvangirai asked for a meeting with Zuma to seek the South African President’s assurance that he would not arrested in the crackdown that has seen several of his lieutenants being picked up and detained by the police.
