Tsvangirai campaigns in the Midlands

Movement for Democratic Change leader Morgan Tsvangirai begins his tour of the Midlands today with rallies at Nembudziya, Gumunyu, Chireya and Chitekete all in Gokwe ending with a “star” rally at the Gokwe centre.

He will be travelling to Shurugwi, Mberengwa and Zvishavane on Wednesday.

Tsvangirai has already been to Mashonaland East, Central, Manicaland and Masvingo.

Victory rallies continue

President Tsvangirai on Tuesday continues with his 2013 presidential victory rallies and will address thousands of party supporters at Gokwe Nembudziya in Midlands North province.

All the previous rallies that President Tsvangirai has addressed have been attended by thousands of people of Zimbabwe as they prepare for the last mile towards real change.

The provincial victory rallies are a culmination of the launch of the MDC manifesto at Rudhaka Stadium in Marondera on 08 July 2013.

In its campaign manifesto, the MDC explicitly spells out how as the next government it will give the people of Zimbabwe hope and real change through the provision of pro-people policies.

President Tsvangirai will start his rally in the Midlands province tour by addressing a rally at Nembudziya Business Centre in Gokwe before travelling to Gumunyu, Chireya, Chitekete and have a star rally at Gokwe Centre later in the day.

On Wednesday, President Tsvangirai travels to Vungu, Tongogara, Mkandapi, Ngungumbane, Mberengwa East, Mataga, Mberengwa South, Ndanga, Chizungu West before winding up his day at Mandava, Zvishavane.

In his addresses, President Tsvangirai has been highlighting many aspects of the MDC manifesto.

In its manifesto, the MDC highlights that it is committed to serving all the citizens through a transparent and accountable government which respects the rule of law, combating corruption, and promoting a modern a modern, inclusive, and socially just economy.

The MDC is promising the people of Zimbabwe a million jobs in the next five years through the initiation series of policy actions designed to jump start the economy and government service provision.

These critical first actions will establish a foundation on which the next MDC government will be launched. Successfully implementing this plan will bring rapid, measurable results and quickly demonstrate our ability to respond to the immediate needs of the people.
