Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai today apologised for the comments he made against the judiciary when the Supreme Court nullified the election of Movement for Democratic Change chairman Lovemore Moyo as Speaker of Parliament. He said his comments on the judiciary “were clearly an immediate reaction against a judgement that affected the morale of my party”. He said the judiciary was an appendage of ZANU-PF. A new Speaker was supposed to be elected today but clerk of Parliament Austin Zvoma adjourned the sitting because of “legal issues” but the MDC said ZANU-PF had chickened out.
