Things keep falling apart for Mutsvangwa as he is fired as war veterans’ chairman

War  veterans leader Christopher Mutsvangwa, who was fired from the politburo and from the cabinet last week following, cannot continue as chairman of the veterans association because he was  suspended from the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front for three years, his former deputy Tshinga Dube, who was elevated to Minister, told The Chronicle.

Dube also said war veterans cannot meet President Robert Mugabe as and when they want.

Mutsvangwa had arranged a meeting with Mugabe set for this week, a day before he was suspended. He also said at the weekend, he did not care a hoot about being fired from the politburo or cabinet as these were unelected posts.

Mutsvangwa seems to have rattled feathers more by saying that he does not trust Mugabe any longer.

“Meeting the President should be taken seriously. You can’t just decide that today or tomorrow you want to meet the President. You should have an agenda first not to just say you want to meet the President, for what?” Dube said.
