The most comprehensive database of Wikileaks cables on Zimbabwe

The Insider has now set up one of the most comprehensive databases of the Wikileaks cables on Zimbabwe which enables readers to view all the cables so far published in just one click.

There are nearly 3 000 cables on Zimbabwe, the third African country with the most cables after Sudan and Nigeria.

So far 79 cables, some with just a line on Zimbabwe, have been released by Wikileaks and The Insider has published 45 cables in full.

Our intention is to publish all the cables on Zimbabwe but we have to rely on Wikileaks releasing them.

There seems to have been a slow down in the release of the cables after they caused a diplomatic spat in December, when The Guardian released a cable which revealed that Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai publicly supported the lifting of sanctions on Zimbabwe but was privately against the lifting of the sanctions.

There were fears that he could be arrested for treason for this.

The cables are available on this link.
