Sad Christmas as 2 die of coronavirus in Zimbabwe but 154 recover

Two people, both from Harare, died of coronavirus today but 154 recovered with the number of active cases dropping to 2 071.

Bulawayo continues to be on the rebound. Although it had the highest number of new cases today, 33 out of 94, it also had the highest number of recoveries, 72 out of 154.

Zimbabwe now has 12 880 cases, 10 468 recoveries and 341 deaths.

Harare has 481 active cases followed by Bulawayo with 406 and Matebeleland South with 368.

Globally the number of cases has just surpassed 80 million. This includes 1.75 million deaths, 56.3 million recoveries and 21.9 million active cases.
