Zimbabwe’s largest cement producer, South African headquartered PPC, is to build a $200 million plant in Harare to cater for Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Up to now PPC has operated in Bulawayo and Colleen Bawn. Lafarge has been operating in Harare. PPC chief executive officer Ketso Gordhan said the expansion was part of the company’s strategy of growing its non-South Africa revenue from the current 21 percent to at least 40 percent by 2016.
