Mupfumira who was arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission is facing corruption charges involving $95 million from the national pension fund the National Social Security Authority which fell under her jurisdiction when she was Minister of Public Service and Labour.
She denies all the charges levelled against her.
Independent legislator Temba Mliswa said Mupfumira might not be allowed to appeal her bail denial because it was certified by the High Court.
He also claimed that current Minister of Labour Sekai Nzenza is on the run as she is implicated in Mupfumira’s case because she was allegedly bought a house in Cape Town by Mupfumira.
“Sekesai Nzena should further be arrested for obstructing the course of justice & protecting Mupfumira,” Mliswa tweeted.
“All the boards under Mupfumira are suspiciously likely to be accomplices too & I’ll provide the links.”
