Mugabe looking for a constitutional exit?

The succession plot continues to thicken. But while Zimbabweans and the international community are engrossed in succession plots, President Mugabe and his lieutenants could be seeking a constitutional solution to the succession issue as it is threatening to split the party. And it looks, the constitutional path could be much quicker and smoother and less divisive than the succession and exit plans so far revealed. This was our headline seven years ago.
