Mugabe is so old he could vote for Tsvangirai without noticing it, Mwonzora says- updated

It said Mashonaland Central Youth League chairperson Isaiah Karina was arrested for trying to stop the demonstrations.

War veterans leader in the province Sam Parirenyatwa said Kasukuwere had created a rift between war veterans and President Robert Mugabe as well as the First Lady.

“They pretend to love Amai and President Mugabe yet behind the scenes they are plotting their own game,” he said.

Jona Ngwenya, a representative of the main wing said: “We took Kasukuwere as a youth but he has proved to be the worst politician from Mashonaland Central. His divisive tendencies have reached the Apostolic sects and he caused chaos at Wimbo’s shrine…as for Mafios, his real job was to sell bricks and he should stick to that.”

Mwonzora said Mugabe was so old that he will have to be assisted to vote next year.

People who are unable to vote on their own for one reason or another are usually assisted but opposition parties have complained that this is a way of rigging as those who assist can vote for a party of their choice in the process.

“Come 2018, Morgan Tsvangirai is assured of one vote from Mugabe as he will be old and not be able to vote by him-self and will need assistance,” Mwonzora said.

“I will tell you after leaving the voting booth that the old man has voted for Tsvangirai because he knows that, that’s where the future of the country is.”
