A British newspaper today reported that President Robert Mugabe was in a hospital in Malaysia after a prostate operation. Zimbabwean officials however denied the report saying all they knew was that Mugabe was on his annual leave. The British paper said although this was a “serious” operation and Mugabe was ill, he is expected to return to Zimbabwe in about a week’s time and a full recovery is expected.
