Mugabe fit to rule-Concourt

President Robert Mugabe who turns 93 in 12 days survived by a technical knockout Tajamuka’s Constitutional challenge that he was no longer fit to rule after Zimbabwe’s highest court dismissed the case because the social media activist group’s spokesman Promise Mkwananzi had not served President Robert Mugabe with the papers properly.

Mkwananzi’s lawyer Kudzai Kadzere admitted the mistake but blamed the Sheriff’s Office.

He said the Sheriff’s Office had said the papers should be delivered at the New Government Complex instead of the Munhumutapa offices, so he wanted the matter removed from the roll.

Deputy Chief Justice Luke Malaba dismissed the case and said he would not remove from the roll something that was unconstitutional.

“The Constitutional Court is a serious court. As lawyers, you must first check what the law says before rushing here,” he said.
