President Robert Mugabe has fired seven more ministers bringing to 16 the number of ministers dismissed after the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front congress. Those fired today are:  Flora Buka and Sylvester Nguni. They were joined by deputy ministers: Paul Chimedza, Tongai Muzenda, Tendai Savanhu, Petronella Kagonye and Fortune Chasi.  Mugabe has already fired his deputy Joice Mujuru and as well as Didymus Mutasa, Webster Shamu , Simbarashe Mudarikwa, Francis Nhema, Olivia Muchena,  Nicholas Goche, Dzikamai Mavhaire and Munacho Mutezo.  All the ministers fired so far are said to have been siding Mujuru whom Mugabe has accused of plotting to oust him. Mugabe is currently on leave until January. Emmerson Mnangagwa, who was appointed Vice-President together with Phelekezela Mphoko just over a week ago, is acting president.
