Zimbabwe’s Members of Parliament will demand $23 million in salaries and allowances if their term of office is cut short by the holding of elections next year, reports said today. President Robert Mugabe has said elections will be held next year because he is tired of petty squabbles with Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai. Tsvangirai says his party is ready for elections provided there is no violence.
