Mnangagwa to fulfil Joshua Nkomo’s dream on 15 July

President Emmerson Mnangagwa today promised to get Ekusileni Meedical Centre up and running on 15 July after more than a decade of lying idle.

The medical centre was the brainchild of the late Vice-President Joshua Nkomo but it has made several false starts over the past 14 years.

Mnangagwa who visited the medical centre, which is also close to Nkomo’s second home, today said investors will be at the medical centre on 15 July and work to get it working will start then.

Addressing a rally at White City Stadium where he was given a warning in November last year by then President Robert Mugabe that he would be fired the next day after youths booed Mugabe’s wife Grace, Mnangagwa said his government will now be implementing devolution where each province will have to create its own wealth.

He said Bulawayo is going to be the industrial hub of Zimbabwe and so far companies like Paramount garments, Merlin, Hamara, the Cold Storage Company and the National Railways of Zimbabwe were being revamped.
