Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday told Chitungwiza North Member of Parliament Godfrey Sithole that President Robert Mugabe was healthier than him.
Sithole had asked the Vice-President the state of health of Mugabe following disturbing reports in the media about the President’s health during his visit to India last month.
Mugabe stumbled in New Delhi where he was attending the India-Africa Forum Summit raising questions about his health, but his spokesman George Charamba brushed off the concerns saying:”It’s a very minor incident in a big heroic act and only fault-finders will spend a second on it.”
Mugabe, who turns 92 in three months, stumbled and nearly fell at Harare Airport early this year and pictures of his “fall” went viral.
Mugabe has since been on another trip to Turkey for the G-20 summit since his return from India.
