Mnangagwa swears in his two deputies

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has today sworn in his two deputies, Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi, but eyes are focused on who he will incorporate in his new cabinet.

There is no indication yet on when he will announce the cabinet but there is speculation that he might do so after swearing in Members of Parliament first.

His party’s youth wing has called on Mnangagwa to avoid appointing corrupt party officials into the cabinet, saying he must show character and stand his ground on bringing sanity in the Executive.

Mnangagwa will officially open the Harare Agricultural Show tomorrow and is expected to travel to China at the weekend for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation which will be on Monday and Tuesday.

The President is also expected to swear in the commission of inquiry in the 1 August violence when he returns from China.
