Mnangagwa sets by-elections for 26 March

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has called for parliamentary by-elections to fill at least 28 seats left vacant following the recall of Movement for Democratic Change Alliance legislators on 26 March, a Saturday.

Nominations close in 20 days on 26 January.

The by-elections will be a litmus test for what is likely to happen next year not only in terms of the results but also of who will participate.
