Marry Chiwenga granted $50 000 bail

Marry Chiwenga, estranged wife of Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga, was today granted bail of $50 000 and was asked to report to the police very fortnight.

Chiwenga is facing charges of money laundering, externalisation and attempted murder.

She has denied the charges saying they were fabricated to force her hand in her divorce case with the former defence forces chief.

Marry was also asked so surrender her diplomatic passport and title deeds to her Highlands house.

She was remanded to 14 January at her previous appearance.
