Malema says he is misunderstood just like Mugabe

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema yesterday congratulated Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe for winning last month’s elections and said he was misunderstood just like Mugabe.

Malema, who was fired as African National Congress youth leader, has been accused of being too close to Mugabe and has made several trips to Harare to meet the Zimbabwean leader.

The EFF leader was in Nigeria to meet spiritual leader TB Joshua for blessings and divine intervention.

Malema has been at the forefront of calling for the redistribution of land and nationalisation of the country’s mines.

On Mugabe’s victory, Malema said:”They have made their wishes very clear… we are happy that he has returned the land to the people and Zimbabwe will be one of the fewest African countries which is truly owned by Africans.”
