Supreme Court judge Rita Makarau has been appointed acting chairperson of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission replacing Simpson Mutambanengwe who resigned last week on health grounds. Justice Minister Patrick Chinamasa said Makarau will act as chairperson until the end of December this year.
