Khupe flexes muscle, fires nine more MPs

Interim Movement for Democratic Change-Tsvangirai leader Thokozani Khupe today flexed her muscle by firing nine more legislators, three constituency Members of Parliament and six proportional representative members.

At the moment all proportional representative legislators are women.

Khupe fired the first salvo in May when she recalled four key legislators from the MDC- Alliance: Chalton Hwende, Prosper Mutseyami,  Thabitha Khumalo and Lillian Timveos.

Today she recalled:

  1. Amos Chibaya, (Mkoba)
  2. Murisi Zwizwai (Harare Central)
  3. Happymore Chidziva (Highfield West).
  4. Bacilia Majaya
  5. Macharairwa Mugidho
  6. Virginia Muradzikwa
  7. Annah Myambo
  8. Francisca Ncube
  9. Nomathemba Ndlovu

Khupe said recently she was in charge of 103 legislators.

Her party is expected to hold its extra-ordinary congress at the end of next month.
