Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front National Commissar Saviour Kasukuwere has denied that there is a rift between him and Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa saying those claiming so are dreaming. “I am on record as clearly saying that we stand behind the leadership of our party: number one President Mugabe and the appointments he made of Cde Mnangagwa, who is a seasoned cadre, and of Cde Mphoko, another seasoned liberation hero. These are the leaders we are working with who have been appointed by President Mugabe. Those who are dreaming of a division are wasting their time. Our leadership knows where we exactly stand and what we are doing. ZANU-PF is not divided. ZANU-PF is a very strong party and those who are making those statements or innuendos are trying to destroy the party, but they will not succeed. We have gone through that before; we will go through it again in the future, but we are not shaken. We are very clear on who is who and there is no room for division and we are very well set to achieve our goals and objectives,” he was quoted by The Herald as saying. Kasukuwere has been described as a member of a Gang of Four that is now against Mnangagwa. The other three are alleged to be Jonathan Moyo, Oppah Muchinguri and Patrick Zhuwao, all instrumental in the ousting of former Vice-President Joice Mujuru.
