Kasukuwere arrested for border jumping

Former Local Government Minister Saviour Kasukuwere, one of the kingpins of the G40 faction of the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front which was fighting to get Grace Mugabe to succeed her husband President Robert Mugabe, has been arrested for border jumping according to the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation.

He returned to the country last week after six months in self-imposed exile and declared that he is going into farming and is not going back to politics.

His brother Dickson Mafios, who was ZANU-PF chairman for Mashonaland Central, was on Wednesday sentenced to 11 months in prison with an option to pay a fine of $300, also for border jumping.
