According to Pindula News, Sifiso Ndlovu earns a basic salary of $3 800 but his allowances are more than double this figure.
It broke down his salary as follows:
Communication allowance of $2 000;
Basic salary of $3 808;
Fuel allowance of $780;
Transport allowance of $200;
Housing allowance of $260;
Grocery allowance of $82;
Representation allowance of $761.
It reproduced Ndlovu’s payslip for January which could not be proved to be authentic though it bore the ZIMTA stamp.
It will be interesting to know how the boss of the other union, Raymond Majongwe of the Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe, earns.
