Court proceedings are sometimes quite interesting and humorous. Take for example the case of a man who was facing a charge of statutory rape, that is having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 16.
The prosecutor asked him: “So was it lawful for you to sleep with this woman?”
Accused: “As you say she was a woman” (not a girl).
Prosecutor: “Do you think it was proper for you to sleep with someone’s daughter?”
Accused- looking at the prosecutor and smiling: “I could not have slept with my own daughter before making her with someone else’s daughter first.”
