THE VICE PRESIDENT AND MINISTER OF JUSTICE, LEGAL AND PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS (HON. MNANGAGWA): Mr. Speaker Sir, I rise to congratulate this august House, the National Assembly of the Republic of Zimbabwe which has deliberated on the first which has deliberated on the first Amendment to the national Constitution and I am happy that every individual Hon. Member of this House was given adequate opportunity. Many Hon. Members in the House had the opportunity to contribute more than once to the debate. I am very grateful that, in particular, the opposition made very constructive contribution during the course of debate – [HON. MEMBERS: Hear, hear.] – I was very grateful to some of their incisive and well researched contributions to the debate. I would want to thank you for the manner and commitment you showed to democracy. This is what democracy is all about where those who disagree are given the space to air their disagreement to an issue and that is allowed. At the end of the day, the majority carries the day – [HON. MEMBERS: Hear, hear.] – I thank you Mr. Speaker.
