A Harare man who says he is a registered voter in Zaka East has approached the Supreme Court to order President Robert Mugabe to hold elections by 29 June. Jealousy Mawarire has cited President Mugabe, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara and MDC leader Professor Welshman Ncube and the Attorney-General as respondents. He says if the elections are not held before 29 June, the country will be run illegally.
