A businessman taken to court by First Lady Grace Mugabe for duping her of a $1.35 million diamond ring has challenged her to provide the court with evidence.
According to Reuters, Jamal Hamed, through his lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa , would like Grace Mugabe to provide the court with full dates of when exactly payment for the ring was done, the full details of the account holder, the account number and a copy of the account statement.
Grace says she paid for a $1.35 million 100-carat diamond ring to mark her 20th wedding anniversary but Hamed provided an inferior ring worth $30 000 and when she had complained he refunded only $120 000.
There have been several versions about the diamond ring which some say has shown the extravagance of the First Lady who has been dishing out millions for properties in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
