A French consortium was today reported to have expressed interest in investing about US$3 billion to generate power in Zimbabwe. Energy and Power Development Minister Elton Mangoma said the consortium could get its licence before the end of this month. Zimbabwe needs about 2 000 MW of power a month but is only generating half that.
