Negotiators for Zimbabwe’s three key political parties have agreed to an election roadmap that will see the polls being held next year. President Robert Mugabe had wanted the elections this year while the Movement for Democratic Change and the Southern African Development Community wanted the elections held when the climate is right and all the terms of the Global Political Agreement have been implemented.
