The chairman of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Simpson Mutambanengwe today said it is almost impossible for Zimbabwe to hold elections next year because his commission is not geared for the elections. He said the commission has to be given money now if the country’s political leaders want to hold the elections next year. Both President Robert Mugabe and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai have said elections will be held next year, but the drafting of the new constitution which is the determining factor is 12 months behind.
