The fight for the estate of former army commander General Solomon Mujuru is fast turning into a thriller. Mujuru is said to have left a will drawn up by his lawyer Thekor Kewada but that will seems to have disappeared. The Master of the High Court has accepted 13 children who should benefit from his estate. Reports said seven more were likely to come forward bringing the total to 20. Today, the Sunday Mail said the general could have had as many as 90 children. There are now at least two surviving wives, Joice Mujuru, who has four children, and Faith (Juta) Mujuru. Joice Mujuru does not seem to have any problem with those claiming to be her former husband’s children. She says they should have a DNA test. But if there are about 90 children, this would be an enormous task. It looks like Mujuru’s estate is likely to be as controversial as his mysterious death in August 2011.
