Zimbabwe might be allowed to exports its diamonds from Marange after China and India persuaded the United States and Britain to soften their stance, reports said today. Zimbabwe will, however, have to accept the conditions before any exports can resume. India, home of Surat, the world’s largest diamond polishing centre, is desperate for diamonds from Marange which could create 250 000 jobs there.
