Cyclone Idai deaths now at 344 with 257 missing

The number of people killed by Cyclone Idai in Zimbabwe has now risen to 344 according to the Ministry of Information.

It said 257 others were still missing, 19 from Chipinge and 238 from Chimanimani.

The 344 include the 158 whose bodies were recovered in Mozambique.

Chimanimani had the highest number of deaths at 169, followed by Chipinge with 6, Masvingo 5, Mutare Road 4, and one each in Buhera and Makoni.
