Zimbabwe’s highest court today ordered President Robert Mugabe to hold elections before 31 July. The decision was made by Chief Justine Godfrey Chidyausiku and had the support of six other judges. The Constitutional Court made the ruling after a private citizen Jealousy Mawarire took the case to court arguing that President Mugabe should hold the elections before 29 June, the date when the life of the present parliament legally expires.
