Coronavirus cases in Zimbabwe slow down

The number of new coronavirus cases in Zimbabwe slowed down yesterday to 15 indicating that the outbreak at Sacred Heart High School in Matebeleland South might now be under control but  the country should get a better picture today if there was any under-reporting over the weekend.

There was also no death with total deaths remaining at 1 538 while the number of cases rose to 37 288 and recoveries went up to 34 873 after only 11 people recovered yesterday.

There are now 877 active cases with 413 in Harare, 248 in Matebeleland South and 126 in Bulawayo.

Vaccination was also down with only 658 getting their first jab raising the total to 194 594 and 101 getting the second dose bringing the total to 28 898.
