Zimbabwe’s civil servants have given the government seven days to review their salaries. Reports today said the more than 200 000 civil servants gave the ultimatum yesterday after a breakdown in their negotiations with the government. The civil servants want a starting salary of $502 a month for the lowest paid employees. Most civil servants are currently earning less than $200 a month.
