Moyo said some 6 645 were reported and most these were from Glen View 8 and Budiriro 1 and Two.
He said 21 percent of those affected were children with the youngest to succumb being only eight months old.
The cholera outbreak was declared on 6 September.
In 2008 more than 4 000 people died of cholera and nearly 100 000 people were affected.
